School of Music Audition Recorded Audition
| Description: | The School of Music offers a comprehensive undergraduate program which strives for the highest quality in music performance and academic study. All entering freshmen, transfer students and current JMU students seeking admission to the School of Music must be accepted via an audition. While we strongly encourage a live, on-campus audition, we acknowledge that circumstances may prevent an applicant attending one of our audition events. In such cases, an applicant may submit a high quality video recording mailed to the School of Music Admissions Office as a DVD. Alternatively, an applicant may upload the video recording as a private video to a provider such as YouTube and email a link to video to the School of Music Admissions Office. Applicants submitting a video recording may only be accepted provisionally and must complete an in-person audition by the end of the first semester of enrollment, usually in conjunction with the end-of-semester juries. |
